Meet the Team

We named our studio “Treehouse” because the world needs games that create an inviting hangout space where players spend time with their friends. We focus on the player impact we create through our work, we value feedback from players, and we believe the best teams are built on a culture of trust and respect.

Treehouse was started by seasoned developers from across the industry: half coming from AAA live-service games and half coming from indie start-ups. We are combining the scrappy innovation of indies with the big ambitions and development practices of AAA teams to help us create more compelling cooperative experiences for our players.

If you’re passionate about cooperative games and finding quality time with friends, we hope you’ll join us on the adventure.

Sophia Oh

Sophia has been an HR professional for over 8 years in the games industry, after dabbling in Talent Acquisition. She is currently our Director of People supporting everything and anything under the HR function. Before Treehouse, she spent her time at Riot Games, EA, and other smaller companies to help build a safe and respectful environment for all.

Outside of work, she spends her time playing with her kids, cooking and of course video games, including League of Legends, Valorant, Super Smash Bros, Diablo, Ragnorak, and Sims.

Brandon Nguyen

Brandon is a generalist Game Engineer with a love of exploring novel video game experiences. Before Treehouse, he cut his teeth at Maxis Studios on a variety of different projects, focusing on simulation style gameplay.

Outside of work you can find Brandon juggling way too many hobbies but mostly cooking, creating music, and of course playing video games.

Meg Fredericks

Meg is a Game Engineer with a generalist background who finds joy and satisfaction in working on game features of all kinds. Before joining Treehouse, Meg was an engineer on Madden NFL Mobile at EA for 3 years.

In her free time Meg can be found cooking for friends and family, curled up with a good novel, or playing video games. Her favorite recently played titles include Omori, Celeste, and Hades.

Kyle Youngblom

Kyle is a 3D generalist who is enthusiastic about most every aspect of game art. He’s joined Treehouse to focus on rocks, plants, buildings… in short: environment art. He loves exploring new tools and techniques, and is passionate about design, usability, and workflows.

In his free time he enjoys running, baking bread, tending plants, and spending as much time with friends and family as possible.

Luke Larson

Luke spent 3 years working in data processing and micro-frontends at Credit Karma, while making games on the side. He jumped from hobbyist to professional when he joined Treehouse as a backend engineer with a passion for designing reliable systems.

Outside of work, Luke enjoys digital painting and graphic design, and is enthusiastic about the frequent and correct application of sunscreen.

Stephanie Rivet

Stephanie is a Producer focused on building collaborative and inclusive teams and helping them achieve their goals and ship awesome games. Before Treehouse, Stephanie was at Riot Games for 8 years, where she helped deliver maps and game modes for events in League of Legends, as well as helping with larger projects like shipping Teamfight Tactics.

In her free time, Stephanie loves to cook and bake (especially cupcakes!), try out any new cozy games, and take way too many pictures of her adorable dogs (who are frequent participants in Treehouse meetings!).

Christina D’Attomo

Christina is a game designer who is passionate about world building and bringing players together. She joined Treehouse after contributing to a few AAA titles and spending 5 years working on Destiny’s reward systems. Her focus at Treehouse is on building experiences for players to enjoy together.

In her free time she loves to 3D model, work on level design projects, bake, and play games.

Dave Le

Dave spent over a decade as an engineer at Silicon Valley mainstays such as Paypal and LinkedIn, before finally landing in the games industry. Before Treehouse, he was a senior engineer at Riot Games where he served as Gameplay Technical Lead for League of Legends’ Summoner’s Rift team.

Dave is a student of improv comedy, a hip hop street dance fiend, and karaoke fanatic. He loves getting lost in games with great worldbuilding, like Dark Souls; Hollow Knight; and Outer Wilds; whenever he’s not losing to the brutal AI in tactics games, like XCOM and Into The Breach.

Andrew Miller

After 5 seasons as a character and background artist on FX’s hit TV series Archer, Andrew decided to pursue his love for video games and actually put his Master’s Degree in animation to use. He focuses on rigging, animating and VFX on many things with the Treehouse crew.

Mitch Miller

A concept artist by training, Mitch has bounced around to many disciplines in both 2D and 3D to learn and understand every aspect of art. His ambition is to create characters and worlds that both inspire and excite people. Before Treehouse, he worked at several video game start-ups both supporting and leading art teams.

Michael Chu

Michael is Treehouse’s Co-Founder and CEO, and his favorite question for his friends is “what should we play together next?”

Before co-founding Treehouse, Michael was a product lead at Riot Games on teams all across League of Legends for over 7 years. He and Ryan met while leading a game project together almost a decade ago.

Ryan Sullivan

Ryan is Treehouse’s Co-Founder and President. He has a deep passion for games that experiment with progression through exploration and emergent gameplay and has spent thousands of hours playing games like Ultima Online and Warframe.

Ryan wears many hats at Treehouse and believes that not knowing how to do something is an opportunity rather than an impediment. Before Treehouse Ryan worked at Industrial toys and co-founded Sirvo Studios.
